COMMON QUESTIONS
The Resilient Mind, explained
The program runs over a 10-week period. Participants first complete a Readiness to Change assessment, then attend seven 1.5-hour in-person group sessions where they play the resilience game, receive two 15–20 minute e-learning assignments each week, and have access to tele/text/video mentoring throughout.
A game creates safety and structure through clear guidelines, while playfulness and laughter build engagement and healthy rivalry encourages people to fully participate. These dynamics draw out the five traits of “playing hard”: honesty and vulnerability, humility, courage, self-awareness, and a desire to be your best self.
When we experimented with therapy, counselling, and mentorship, mentoring produced the best outcomes. It builds trust, transparency, and a willingness to accept vulnerability — the ideal conditions for self-awareness and turning weaknesses into strengths. During the program, participants choose how they connect with their mentor by phone, video, or text.
The team conducts secondary research across advanced behavioral, neural, and social sciences, incorporating resilience skills, relationship skills, emotional intelligence, social and community health, managing your psychological functions, play and laughter, and cardio exercise and nature.
Data to date indicates participants achieve an average 20% increase in resilience, with a target of 25% as the program evolves. Across 1,200+ people tracked, 86% report reducing their stress by 50% within 15 minutes using the de-escalation tools.
The 10-week program is $399, including pre-registration assessments, seven group sessions, a smartphone dashboard of weekly resources, two 15-minute e-learning sessions per week, and access to mentors via text, email, and video call. Discounts may apply for non-profits and low-income individuals.
Yes. You can play the game online with people you don’t know and use an alias if you prefer. Note that outcomes tend to be somewhat higher in the in-person version.
Arrange an in-house facilitator or use one of ours; the first 1.5-hour session is led in a meeting room you provide; participants complete two short weekly e-learning lessons; progress is measured on each participant’s dashboard; and mentors are available by phone and text. No administrative work is required from the host organization.
It takes about three weeks to complete the first module of facilitator training, so you can begin hosting in as little as four weeks from sign-up.
